Court of Appeal allows appeal against the severity of sentence of 12 years' imprisonment imposed in the Central Criminal Court for the offence of rape, and reduces the sentence to 10 years, finding that a starting sentence of 12 years rather than 14 years would have been more appropriate before allowing for mitigation.
